Exemplary School Library Websites
Valenza, Joyce. schoollibrarywebsites. n.p., n.d. Web. 23 April, 2011.
This is a wiki that has many, many links to great school library websites. I've used this to look at websites to use as a model for my own, which I've found to be the most helpful thing. I'm not sure where I first heard about this resource, but I've really found it to be great. The one weakness that I've found is that I don't think all the library websites that are linked to are really exemplary.

Castilleja School Library. Castilleja School Library, 2011. Web. 23 April, 2011.
I love this website so much! I love the look and the navigation design and that it contains articles, student book reviews, videos, and blogs. If I could create a site that was this great, I would brag about it to everyone. I found this site using the above mentioned schoolibrarywebsites wiki. I'm so blown away by this site that I can't think of any weaknesses.

Lakeside Upper School Library. n.p., n.d. Web. 23 April, 2011.
This school is in Seattle and it's Bill Gates' alma mater, interestingly enough. It's known to be a great school, so I looked at their library's site to see what databases they use. Despite being a great school, it's not a particularly innovative library website.

Library at Brisbane Grammar School. n.p., n.d. Web. 23 April, 2011.
I love some of the ideas utilized on this site. I love that they have a word cloud with useful links, a bunch of different blogs, links to social networking sites, a catalog widget, and a new book widget from Goodreads. I found this site from the above mentioned school library websites wiki. There's much I love about this site, but it's a touch too cluttered, which I would not emulate.
